Shake that Tomato-Bank-point-maker in the End Zone

Only seconds left on the clock. Inches from the goal. All eyes are on the Cleveland Tomatoes. Will they pull it off? YES! They execute an AMAZING End Zone celebration, and the crowd goes wild!!

Forget scoring 6 points for a touchdown, this week (1/28/13 – 2/3/13) Tomato Bankers can score 50 points for an End Zone celebration! It doesn’t matter if you go with the age-old ball spike, dance the Dirty Bird, the Ickey Shuffle, the Squirrel, the Worm, or just go totally free-style, when you show a little score-board spirit either at the register or in our stores’ End Zones, you make bank!

I am horrified and disappointed with the coupons lately. The last straw was the most recent one for Coke and conventional peanuts and conventional chips, and the dollar organic avocado? They ARE in season and we have purchased them elsewhere for 8/$4.00. Organic.
To encourage and support a mega-company that sells GMO products worldwide SHOULD NOT be supported by your store or company. Coke from Mexico (that the coupon) is redeemed for is not a GMO sugar product, but with diabetes and obesity running rampant I would want you to encourage healthier and ALTERNATIVE “snacks” for the big ‘Game Day’.
We are making 100% organic hummus with 100% organic corn chips, 100% organic salsa, 100% organic crudites with 100% organic home made ranch dip and a MIRAD of other 100% ORGANIC treats. Your store does not even carry many of these products. Why? I am taking my organic and food dollars elsewhere. Your company is a wolf in sheeps clothing.
    So disappointed in this!

Hi Kim – thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We have been carrying cola soft drinks in our stores for years. They do not contribute to a healthy diet, no matter what the brand. We do belivee that we can offer a treat to be consumbed in moderation made with natural ingredients. There are many natural substances that consumed without moderation can cause harm to our bodies. It is up to the individual to moderate their intake of even the natural substances we offer. We also believe that everyone is at a different point on their journey to health. Carrying recognizable brands, that meet our Food Philosophy, can make a new customer at the beginning of their health journey feel more comfortable in our stores.
We try to offer organic items with our coupons when we can. A lot of what we carry is based on availability for ALL of our stores and working with vendors to get products at a reasonable price so we can pass the savings on to our customers.
We applaud you for taking the steps to a healthier, organic lifestyle and your comments will not go unnoticed. Thanks again for the feedback – it’s very important to us.

I am a cashier in the cafe at the Asheville store in Westgate Plaza. I do want to say that, despite the challenges of keeping the line moving with all the typing in the numbers, I have enjoyed the levity with the fun elements of the tomato bank program. This week when they gave me the touchdown 50 point coupon I would ask “And what did Hazel make you do?” and we would both enjoy a chuckle. Thank you. It is fun explaining the program too when I have the fun things to include….like saying “hi” to the butcher or finding the goalposts and doing a dance.

I am a new EarthFare shopper and I am loving your store! I live in Belmont, though and every store is quite a drive for me. I hope you have plans for a store in the Gatonia/Belmont/Mt. Holly area SOON!
