I just wanted to say that the apples from this farm are soooo much better than the Stemilt organic apples from Washington that my local Earth Fare market sells. Though when I lived in Wenatchee, WA (the apple capital of the US) the Stemilt apples were fresh and fantastic. Thanks you so for supporting local farmers too Earth Fare. Slow food tastes better

I enjoyed watching this video and honor the hard work that Eddie (and every farmer) devotes his life to each and every day so that we have food to eat. I only wish that there were more organic apples farmers in our area like Anthony Owens from Windy Ridge Farms.

My husband and I used to live in Hendersonville and we would always get apples from the ‘Haven. We’ve been back a few times and always found the produce very good and tasty. Thanks for making this TN/NC half & half homesick for Hendersonville!

@Billie, I know Honeycrisp apples are delicious to eat! I’ve never tried canning them before.

I have driven from Florida to buy apples from Eddie every fall for the last 10 years. I especially love the older varieties he grows… you know, the ones you’ll never find in stores. He’s a great farmer with a great product, and it’s wonderful to get a few minutes to talk to him about apples. Truly a nice man.

This story turned out fabulous! This is my father and our Apple Orchards. Watching this reminded me of how lucky I am to have grown up here and how unique our NC fruits are! The produce that comes from the WNC Mountains is truly special and flavorful.
