Well, the end of the World Cup is here. We’ve got a quick round-up on how the USA would stack up against some of the other major teams of the World Cup.

After having a high rate of heart disease – about 5:1,000 – for men, the Finish government encouraged healthy eating. Now, heart disease is down to nearly one for the entire region! Compare that to the US, where heart disease is the leading cause of death!
Now, let’s move onto one of the semifinalists. Spain, the 1st place winner, has one of the highest rates of tuberculosis and some of the highest rates of air pollution in Europe. The U.S., on the other hand, has low incidences of both.
While Bosnia-Herzegovina may be a small country, its obesity epidemic (62.9 percent of the population is overweight) is on level with countries like the United States. Most of the epidemic is due to unhealthy eating, drinking and smoking.
And, the final country up is New Zealand. With 62.7 percent of the country overweight, that’s nearly as much as the U.S. at 66.7 percent! And, the entire population is gaining weight exponentially!
So, there you have it! Our round-up is complete. How did your team do?
