Hurry and Take Our Tomato!

Posted by: earthfare | July 9, 2010

Now’s the time! We are now accepting submissions for our 2nd annual Take Our Tomato contest.

Do you want to get in on the competition? It’s easy! Take a photo of your tomato doing something fun or exciting, and send it our way! It does need to be a real tomato – not a logo or a cartoon. The rest is up to you! Remember – we’re looking for the most creative tomato photographs!

Check out some of the entries we’ve already received by going to our flickr.

Well? What are you waiting for? Email YOUR entry (with your name and contact information) to information@earthfare.com today!

  3. I’m not sure what you guys mean by fun or exciting…
Can’t it just be a unique or interesting photo of one of your tomatoes?

  8. @Valerie, I didn’t get an email from you. Hmm…how about this. Can you upload your photo to our facebook wall? Our page is at http://www.facebook.com/EarthFare. If you post it there, I’ll move it over to our flickr.

  9. I’m not a member of facebook. Can I post there if I’m not a member? I sent them on a different email account, but I’m not sure you got those either.

  10. I think my favorite was the one with the tomato sitting on a tower of rocks with a river and a mountain in the background. Very Zen. Also, the one with the tomato sitting on the glacier looking out over a huge valley, as if it had just climbed all that way…

But, for all those who wonder about the judging criteria, I think it’s pretty obvious that they were (for the most part) looking for natural poses with actual people in them, doing their normal vacation stuff, and just happened to be carrying a tomato. Also, the rainbow was picturesque and spontaneous, but not what I would call creative.
