i don't really think they are trying to tell us that fast food can be healthier than the traditional we ever thought. but in case if this is for real, it will really benefit a lot of people who are fond of having their meals through drive-thru particularly kids.

Is Fast Food really more convenient - or is it just laziness on our part? I think Maria's wish is already happening - Earth Fare is a convenience store. Jennifer hit the nail on the head - Earth Fare does have a hot bar and a salad bar and tons of take home prepared items. Is having to get out of the car inconvenient - or is it just laziness? The time one takes sitting in their car placing their order and driving to the window can't be that much less than walking in and picking out a delicious, healthy meal.

This article gave a lot of facts regarding the nutritional content of fresco items from Taco Bell - as well as stressed the fine print of the Drive Thru Diet. The information seems pretty common sense to me - but have we become so complacent that we accept commercials touting the health benefits of fast food that we not only accept it, but accept that if we have been eating fast food we have been "doing the right thing" for our health?

We need to get excited about food and quit accepting the excuse that we don't have enough time to cook and that food that is good for you tastes bad. We have to quit being lazy and take responsibility for what we put in our bodies. We need to quit looking for a Drive Thru miracle and start eating real food that our bodies can use.

Earth Fare has the hot and salad bars plus takeaway sushi. Pretty convenient except you do have to get out of your car --and not get distracted by all the other fun stuff they have there.

What America really needs is an organic fast food restaurant chain, with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Now that would be worth advertising!
